Courses

We offer a variety of heritage skills courses at Building Futures Galloway. As a registered charity we have been able to secure funding in the past to offer these services without a cost to the public. June/July 2023 saw a busy period of back-to-back courses offered through this means. Courses included Green Woodwork stool making for women and girls, 5-day Introduction to Heritage Construction and traditional boat building for women and girls. Subject to further funding it is hoped to offer these at regular intervals throughout the year. At our accredited training centre, we offer courses in heritage joinery, boat building, stone masonry and metalwork. These can be taken modularly, unit by unit, or through an approved apprenticeship with us.
